Abstract
Samuel Ng confronts the ever-challenging question of music theory's relevance. By tackling the slippery connection between analysis and performance, Ng presents a sure-footed approach that integrates recorded performances, which together with strong pedagogical support, provides a wealth of opportunities for the theory instructor to have a lasting impact on his/her students.
