Description
A. B. Lipscomb was the seventh president of David Lipscomb College (now Lipscomb University). He attended the Nashville Bible School, Transylvania, and Vanderbilt University. Some milestones during his presidency include the establishment of the quarter system, the standardization of high school and college classes with state requirement, membership in the Tennessee Association of Colleges, and the establishment of the first coed dining hall (1920).
