Abstract
Interview conducted by Dr. James Patrick Kelley with Ursula Lockley, wife of Harold Lockley, in Leicester, England on January 29, 1986. Ursula was a younger cousin of Dietrich Bonhoeffer who grew up in the Rhineland. Her father left Germany to study theology with Karl Barth in the 1930s. He then moved to the U.S. during the war to escape Nazi persecution. She and her mother and siblings lived in England as refugees during the war. She describes her experiences growing up with the Bonhoeffer family and Confessing Church and her family's flight from Germany just before the war broke out.
