Dr. Steve Flatt was the sixteenth president of David Lipscomb University (now Lipscomb University). He attended David Lipscomb College and Vanderbilt University. Milestones during his presidency include the name changed to Lipscomb University, academic departments organized into five colleges, the Raymond B. Jones School of Engineering established, the Lipscomb/Vanderbilt Nursing Partnership established, and the athletic department transitioned from the NAIA to the NCAA Division I ranking.
