Description

James A. Harding was the first president of the Nashville Bible School (now Lipscomb University). He attended Bethany College. Some of the milestones of his presidency include being the first "superintendent" of the school, opening the first session in October 1891 with 9 students, creating the first college catalogue in 1894, graduating the first class (5 men awarded diplomas), and chartering the Nashville Bible School on February 2, 1901.
